Global flooding in 2023 has become a major highlight across the world, sparking deep concern about the impacts of climate change. Various regions, from Southeast Asia to Europe, are experiencing an unexpected increase in the frequency and intensity of flooding. One of the key factors behind this disaster is global warming which causes extreme weather. For this reason, it is important for the global community to collaborate in adopting renewable energy and sustainable practices in mitigation efforts. Adaptation efforts are also very necessary. Waterproof infrastructure, such as canals and embankments, must be built to reduce the impact of flooding. In addition, public awareness campaigns about flood risks and climate change can strengthen community preparedness. Over time, deeper investigation into the impacts of global flooding could provide important insights for future planning. Ongoing data analysis and continued research are needed to retool mitigation and adaptation strategies, ensuring that we can minimize impacts and build greater resilience to future disasters.
